Home Remedies For Itching Eyes
There are some effective home remedies that you may follow to get rid of itching eyes.Itchy eyes are often a symptom of allergies, or allergic conjunctivitis. Allergic conjunctivitis is more common in adults than in children, but it can develop at any age. It can be acute or chronic, and depending on the severity, you may develop additional symptoms such as a swollen eyelid or blurred vision.These home remedies are-


Aloe Vera
Cut open the leaf of fresh Aloe Vera plant and extract the Aloe Vera juice. Add a teaspoon of honey and half a cup of elderberry blossom tea to this juice. Rinse your eyes with this mixture at least two times a day. Continue this daily until the itching eye problem goes away completely. Aloe Vera is an effective and natural home remedy that could be used to effectively treat itching eyes.

Carrot and Spinach juices
Get fresh carrot juice from one or two carrots and drink this juice twice a day to get rid of itching eyes. You may also extract spinach juice from fresh spinach leaves and have this juice to get the desired result.
You may take both the carrot and spinach juice together and drink it twice a day to see its effective result. Raw vegetable juices, especially raw carrot juices and spinach juices, are found to be very effective in treating itching eye problems.

Fenugreek Seeds
Fenugreek is a natural ingredient that you may use to cure your itching eye problem.
Soak fenugreek seeds in water for 8-10 hours. Crush the seeds with enough water to make a smooth paste, Apply this fenugreek seed paste over your eyes and leave it there for 20 minutes. Now, wash the paste off your eyes with cold water. Repeat this process two times a day until you get total relief from your itching eyes.

Raw Potatoes
Cut a raw cleaned potato into thin round slices. Put the cut slices in the refrigerator for some minutes. Once the slices get cooled, take it out from the refrigerator and place it over your eyes for nearly 30 minutes. Repeat this process three times a day to get enhanced relief from itching eyes.

Cold Milk
Take a clean cotton ball dipped in a glass of cold milk. Rub the cotton ball around your eyes. You may also place the cotton ball soaked with cold milk on your eyes and use it as a cold compress to get an instant cooling effect for the eyes. Leave it on your eyes for 15- 20 minutes.

Water And Salt
In a cup of distilled pure water add a teaspoon of salt. This can be used as a natural eye wash. Boil this natural eye wash till the soil get completely dissolved in the water. Let the water cool to room temperature and then flush your eyes with this water to get relief from itching eyes. Water and salt are mostly common home remedies that you may use to treat your itching eyes.

Take two teaspoons of Goldenseal herb powder and mix it up with a cup of water. Boil this content and use it as a warm compress on your eyes to get an effective relief from itching eyes. You may also use this solution as an eye drop. Drop 2-3 drops of this solution into your eyes thrice a day to get relief from itching eyes.

Drink at least 10 to 12 glasses of water every day to keep your eyes hydrated. This would help in preventing itching eyes. It is advised to drink plenty of water every day to stay hydrated.

Castor Oil
Take 1 drop of castor oil in each eye. Continue this process three to four times a day so as to reduce our eye swelling and provide a soothing effect to your eyes. Castor oil is said to be very effective in treating eye problems and also it is one of the main ingredients that you would find mostly used in commercial eye drops.

Cold Compress
Soak a cloth in ice cold water and place it over your eyes. Place chilled chamomile tea bags over the eyes, Do these repeatedly 3-4 times a day to get fast relief in etching eye problems. Using chamomile tea bags as cold compress could be more helpful. To get instant relief from itching and redness of the eye you may use a cold compress.

Wash the cucumber and make thin slices of it. Put it in refrigerate for 15-20 minutes and then put them over your eyes, Keep on doing this 4-5 times a day. Cucumber provides coolness to the eyes and soothes the eyes as well. It can reduces the irritation and swelling of the eyes.

Green Tea
Boil two green tea bags in one cup of distilled water so as to make tea for eye wash. Let this solution cool and wash your eyes with it, Use this eye wash 2-3 times to flush your eyes so that the symptoms of itchy eyes get subsided

Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has antiseptic properties as well as anti bacterial property. So it can help to fight any infection of the eyes causing eye itching. Mix one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with one cup of water, use this mixture to wash your eyes in order to get relief from itching and irritation.

Baking Soda
Take 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 cup of water so as to make a solution of baking soda by mixing it well and wash your eyes thoroughly with this solution to soothe your eye.
